Sources: NIH RePORTER, SBIR.gov, NSF, USAspending.gov, the Government of Canada's grants disclosure, CORDIS (European Commission), the French research ministry's open data, and published accelerator lists. Government records are public; each award links to its source.

Grants are non-dilutive public research funding, not investment. A dollar figure beside a company name is the total that company has been awarded by public agencies. It is not a valuation, a funding round, or venture capital. Amounts outside the US are converted at each year's average exchange rate and marked ≈.

Award status describes the funding, never the company. NIH institute labels are assigned by NIH where the award came through NIH, and otherwise predicted by an AI model from the abstract, marked as such wherever they appear. Scope, focus and condition tags are AI-derived from award text.

Accelerator badges indicate admission to that program. They are not funding, investment, valuation, or any claim about how a company has performed. Y Combinator badges come from YC's own company index; others from each program's published cohort lists. Companies are matched to grant records by website and exact name, so a match is a strong indication rather than a certainty.

The filter rail, the table view and the shortlist are built for a larger screen. Everything works on a phone, but scanning several hundred results is easier on a tablet or laptop.

Vetted, formerly SBIR Explorer, is an independent project from gaurav.ventures. The vetting is the grant panels' and accelerators', not ours. Questions or corrections: sbir@gaurav.ventures.
